Working together, all members of the Garfield School community will do whatever it takes to get everyone to the same place, while fostering high academic achievement and social standards for ALL students. • Principal Jan Nuno wrote and received a $236,000 school improvement grant
• Infused technology into the whole school- 8 SMART boards, 25 laptops, 25 document cameras, a still and video camera, legacy lab of 33 computers, and wireless technology support for this year.
• Has engaged ELL and Latino students in technology and education.
• Quality Education Investment Act- affects Garfield through 2014 so that class sizes are 20.
